Sheets are native workbooks stored in your workspace. Use them for calculations, reconciliations, working schedules, and reports that you or an Agent can update.
A native Sheet is separate from an uploaded Excel File. Sheets have their own editor, permissions, versions, and App integrations; Files remain downloadable attachments with previews.
Create or open a Sheet
Open Content from your profile menu, choose a team and folder, and select New → Sheet. You can also ask an Agent to create one. Agent-created Sheets appear in Artifacts, and Sheet references in chat can open in Canvas.
Open the workbook to select a worksheet, edit cells and formulas, and use the formatting controls available for that workbook. Check the save indicator before closing or exporting. Editing availability depends on your permissions, the workbook’s supported features, and your device; a read-only view explains when editing is unavailable.
Import and export
Use the Sheet’s import controls to bring in supported spreadsheet data. When importing into an existing Sheet, review the destination and version change before continuing.
Export to Excel to download a workbook, or use CSV for the selected worksheet. CSV carries tabular values rather than a workbook’s formatting and multiple worksheets.
For ongoing reporting, ask an Agent to update the existing Sheet instead of creating a new workbook every time. Include its name or link in your request.
Work with versions and other editors
Open History to review saved versions. Save or recover local changes before previewing history. If another edit conflicts with yours, follow the recovery controls to reload the current version or preserve your work; do not assume a failed save reached the server.
Sharing controls whether a person can view or edit the Sheet. Agent edits follow the applicable tool and approval policies, and use the same underlying resource permissions.
Use a Sheet in an App
An App can read a Sheet as data or display it as a native page. Sharing the App does not automatically share the workbook. The viewer’s Sheet access and the App’s configured capabilities both apply, and draft App previews cannot write the production Sheet.
For reusable reads across multiple Apps or Agents, create a Data Source for the required Sheet data.
