Where to find them
Open Starter Prompts from the Marketplace, or go straight to the library. Each card shows the prompt’s name, a short description, tags, and a Best with<agent> line naming the suggested agent for that prompt.
Starter prompts live under the Marketplace area, not the Skills section — even though prompts and skills are related, and a prompt may reference a related skill template.
Browse and filter
Find the right prompt fast:- Search — type in the search box to match by name or description.
- Category — filter by the kind of work (defaults to All categories).
- Department — filter by business area such as AR, AP, or Close (defaults to All departments).
Use a starter prompt
Each prompt card offers four actions: View, Copy, Run, and Send.1
Open or pick a prompt
Click View to read the full prompt and its details, or act directly from the card.
2
Fill in any variables
If the prompt has fill-in fields (shown by a variable badge), the Fill prompt variables dialog opens. Enter the values — for example a customer name or an aging threshold — and click Continue.
3
Choose how to use it
Pick the action that fits what you want to do next:
- Copy puts the finished prompt on your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere.
- Run opens it as a new message in Chat.
- Send routes it straight to the prompt’s suggested agent.

Prompt variables
Some prompts include placeholders so they fit your exact situation — a customer, a date range, a dollar threshold. When you act on a prompt that has variables, the Fill prompt variables dialog appears first. Complete every field and click Continue, and Erstan substitutes your values before the prompt is copied, run, or sent.Send needs a suggested agent
The Send action only works when a prompt has a configured suggested agent — the one named on its Best with<agent> line. If none is set, Send is disabled and you will see “No suggested agent is configured for this prompt.”
When the prompt is suited to any chat-first agent, the suggested agent may be listed as Any Chat Agent. You can always Copy or Run a prompt even when Send is unavailable.
FAQ
Do starter prompts cost anything to use?
Do starter prompts cost anything to use?
Using a prompt just inserts text into chat or hands it to an agent. The agent run that follows uses your connected AI provider like any other chat or agent run.
What is the 'Used' badge?
What is the 'Used' badge?
It marks prompts you have already copied, run, or sent so you can spot ones you have used before. It records prompt usage — it does not add the prompt to a library or change your workspace.
Can I make my own reusable prompts?

Starter prompts are a curated catalog. To package your own repeatable know-how for agents, author a Skill instead — skills load instructions into agents the same expert way every time.
